Doug Kornegay has a strong background in underwriting and new business management. Doug started their career at HealthMarkets in 2008, where they served as the National Vice President of Underwriting. During their tenure, they successfully implemented strategic planning initiatives that improved operational effectiveness and increased annual profitability. Doug was also responsible for a significant budget and a large staff.
After leaving HealthMarkets in 2009, Kornegay joined Blue Shield of California as the IFP Underwriting Manager until 2011. Following this role, they worked at Kaiser Foundation Health Plan as the Underwriting Manager for KPIF and Small Group from 2011 to 2015.
Since 2015, Kornegay has held the position of Vice President of New Business and Underwriting at USHealth Group, where they continue to contribute their expertise in underwriting and new business management.
