Robert Hoffman's work experience spans over a decade in various positions within the automotive industry. Starting in 2010, they worked as a Cost Reduction Engineer at Jabil, where they gained experience in electronics design and production. In 2011, they joined Magna Electronics as a Vehicle Test Engineer Intern, validating machine vision systems. From 2011 to 2014, they worked at FCA Fiat Chrysler Automobiles as a Software Release Engineer, overseeing software releases for heavy-duty vehicles. Robert then joined Continental as a Sr. Test & Validation Engineer, contributing to the development of safety systems for General Motors. In 2016, Hoffman joined Dura Automotive Systems LLC, initially working as a Senior System Engineer before transitioning to roles such as R&D Supervisor, R&D Manager, and Chief Engineer. At Dura, they led global engineering teams and contributed to the development of real-time embedded domain controllers for semi-autonomous vehicles. Most recently, in 2019, they joined Dynamic Map Platform North America as the Director of Software Development, leading teams in the development of high-definition mapping solutions for automotive manufacturers. Robert Hoffman completed their education at Oakland University. Robert obtained a Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) in Electrical and Electronics Engineering in the period from 2008 to 2011. Later, they pursued a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in the same field from Oakland University in the year 2011-2012. Robert also holds additional certifications, including being an intacs™ Certified Provisional Assessor from Method Park America Inc., an Automotive Functional Safety Professional from SGS-TÜV Saar, and completed INCA User Training at Oakland Community College.
