Emily Usinger serves as the Plant Manager and Processing Specialist at Fred Usinger, Inc. since November 2019. Prior to this role, Emily held the position of Extension Program Specialist at Iowa State University from August 2014 to October 2019, where responsibilities included planning and conducting educational seminars and industry meetings. Additionally, Emily worked as a Graduate Research Assistant, focusing on the effects of sodium nitrate on cured meat products. Emily earned a Master of Business Administration from The University of Iowa Tippie College of Business (2019-2021), a Master’s Degree in Meat Science from Iowa State University (2014-2016), and a Bachelor’s Degree in Animal Science with an emphasis on Animal Products from Iowa State University (2010-2014).
