Shoaib Zaidi

Shoaib Zaidi is an accomplished academic and industry leader with extensive experience in engineering education and research. Currently serving as a Mentor at ProCheck since January 2016, Shoaib has previously held significant roles such as Professor and Founding Provost/Interim Vice Chancellor at UIT University, where leadership facilitated the institution's transition to autonomy. As Head of Academic Programs at Usman Institute of Technology, efforts focused on enhancing student outcomes and faculty development. Shoaib played a key role in establishing the School of Science and Engineering at Habib University, incorporating a unique liberal arts model for engineering education. Earlier positions included leadership roles at NED University of Engineering & Technology and technical expertise with Infineon Technologies and IBM, driving innovations in semiconductor technology. Educational qualifications include a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from The University of New Mexico and advanced degrees from The University of Texas at Dallas and the University of Rochester, among others.
