Mike Schmitz

Mike Schmitz is a seasoned professional in international advocacy and health policy with extensive experience in both private and public sectors. Currently serving as Director of International Advocacy at US Pharmacopeia since March 2021, Mike has previously held positions at B20 Italy as part of the Health & Life Sciences Task Force and at Crowell & Moring International, where roles included Director, Associate Director, Senior Consultant, Consultant, and Associate Consultant over a span from August 2009 to March 2021. Additionally, Mike contributed as an Advisor for the APEC Life Sciences Innovation Forum between January 2015 and March 2021, and held various roles including Legislative Assistant at UPS and Analyst at Romulus Global Issues Management. Educationally, Mike earned a Master of Public Administration with Distinction from The London School of Economics and Political Science and a BA in International Affairs with a focus on International Economics from The George Washington University.
