Alison Halpin

Alison Halpin is a highly experienced epidemiologist with a robust background in public health, currently serving as a Commander in the Commissioned Corps of the U.S. Public Health Service since July 2011. Concurrently, Alison has held multiple roles at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, including Associate Director of the Office of Scientific Innovation and Integration and Team Lead of the Clinical and Environmental Microbiology Branch. Previous experience includes serving as a Doctoral Epidemiologist and Epidemic Intelligence Service Officer. Alison's academic credentials include a Ph.D. in Epidemiology from Yale University, complemented by a Master of Philosophy in Epidemiology from the same institution, and a Bachelor of Science in Cell/Cellular and Molecular Biology from the University of Connecticut, where initial research involved studying the digestive tract symbiosis in medicinal leeches.
