Byron Henry

Chief Logistics Officer - Rapid Deployment Force at USPHS Commissioned Corps

Byron Henry possesses extensive experience in chemistry and education, currently serving as a Supervisory Chemist at the FDA since February 2002, where responsibilities include analyzing imported and domestic produce for pesticide presence to protect public health. In addition, Byron has been an Adjunct Professor at Mercer University since 2003, teaching science concepts to undergraduate students through various instructional methods, including lectures and online platforms. Furthermore, Byron has held the role of Chief Logistics Officer for the Rapid Deployment Force within the Commissioned Corps of the U.S. Public Health Service since January 2007, overseeing the management of medical and general supplies during deployments. Byron holds a Master's and Bachelor's degree in Chemistry from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University, completed in 1997 and 1995, respectively.
