Mark Miller

Mark Miller is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in scientific research management and toxicology. Currently serving as the Director of Scientific Research Management at the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS) since January 2021, Mark has also held the position of Chief of Staff at NIEHS from 2013 to January 2020. Mark's career includes a role as a Senior Scientist-Toxicologist at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (US EPA) from 2009 to 2013, and currently holds the rank of CAPT in the U.S. Public Health Service Commissioned Corps since 2009. Mark's education includes a Master of Business Administration from UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School, a Ph.D. in Toxicology, and a Master of Science in Molecular Cellular and Developmental Biology from the University of Michigan, a Master of Science in Environmental Toxicology from Oklahoma State University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from the University of Virginia.
