Scott Gonzalez

Scott Gonzalez is the Associate Director for Radiological Health at the FDA, a position held since 2020. With a diverse background, they have previously served as an International Relations Specialist and in various roles within the Center for Devices and Radiological Health, including Regulatory Operations Officer and Health Science Officer. Before their time at the FDA, Scott was a Patent Examiner at the USPTO, focusing on medical devices, and a Biomedical Equipment Specialist in the United States Army Reserve. They hold a Bachelor of Science in Engineering Physics from the University of Kansas, awarded in 2010, and currently serve as Planning Section Deputy Chief for the PHS-1 Rapid Deployment Force and as a Lieutenant Commander in the Commissioned Corps of the U.S. Public Health Service.
