Denise Bailey

Denise Bailey is an experienced educator and organizer with a strong academic background in sociology, holding a Ph.D. from the University of Michigan. Bailey has contributed to various educational and advocacy initiatives, including facilitating a class on Female Sexuality at UC Berkeley and serving as a graduate student instructor at the University of Michigan, where responsibilities included mentorship and lesson planning. As a staff organizer for the Graduate Employees Organization, Bailey represented graduate student instructors and staff assistants, actively engaging in labor relations. Additional roles included conducting research on preschool education at the HighScope Foundation and organizing for trade justice at the Trade Justice Education Fund. Current work involves serving as a city letter carrier for the United States Postal Service.
