Robert Oates III

Robert Oates III, CPM, has extensive experience in technology infrastructure and contract management within the United States Postal Service. Serving as Senior Director of Technology Infrastructure Portfolio since January 2008, Oates leads cross-functional teams in negotiating and executing IT contracts across a range of services, including Telecommunications and Cybersecurity. Previously, as Manager Information Technology CMC, responsibility included overseeing a team focused on sourcing strategies for IT services and acquisition. Oates has a solid background in contracting and procurement from roles held between 1997 and 2007, including Manager SCM Solutions and Contracting Officer, where important responsibilities involved contract negotiation, administration, and supplier relationship management. Oates holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Business, Management, Marketing, and Related Support Services from the University of Maryland Global Campus, attained from 1997 to 1999.
