Dorene Matheis

Dorene Matheis, MBA, is a seasoned human resources professional with extensive experience in administrative and legal services within the US Army and federal agencies. Currently serving as a Supervisory Human Resources Specialist at the USPTO since July 2015, Matheis provides expert advisory and consultative services across all management levels while leading employee development initiatives. Prior roles include Senior Legal Administrator and Chief of the Administrative Division at the US Army Legal Services Agency, where responsibility encompassed policy development and resource management for over 600 legal professionals globally. Matheis also held a pivotal role as Chair of the Legal Administrator and Paralegal Studies Department at The Judge Advocate General's Legal Center and School, educating more than 250 Legal Administrators annually. Academic credentials include an MBA in Human Resources Management from Saint Leo University, complemented by a BA in the same field and an AA in General Studies.
