James Xu

James Xu is an experienced IT professional currently serving as an IT Specialist, Information System Security Officer, and Technical Lead at the USPTO since July 2023. Previously, James held the role of Enterprise Architect at GovCIO from November 2018 to July 2023, and served as a Subject Matter Expert for Talent/Learning Management Systems at BnL, Inc. from September 2015 to November 2018. Additional experience includes positions such as Chief Systems Architect at Adayana, Director at MedStar Health SiTEL, and Director of System Integration at Advanced Distributed Learning Co-Laboratory Hub. James also held significant roles at Aristotle as Vice President of Software Development and Technology, and was Chief Technology Officer at Democracy Data & Communications. James holds a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Central Florida, as well as degrees from the MIT Sloan School of Management, University of Cincinnati, and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Shanghai Jiao Tong University.
