Luke Almendinger

Luke Almendinger serves as the Director at the USPTO since January 2020, where responsibilities include designing, building, and implementing the Insider Threat Program. Prior to this, Luke held various legal roles in the United States Marine Corps, including Intelligence Law Attorney, Command Judge Advocate, Operational Law Attorney, Victims' Legal Counsel, and Criminal Defense Attorney. Notable experiences include serving as an Assistant Trial Counsel and participating in high-profile command investigations. Luke's education includes a Doctor of Law (JD) from Capital University Law School, Executive Education from Harvard Kennedy School, and a BA in Political Science and Criminal Justice from Muskingum University.
