Ussal Sahbaz

Ussal Sahbaz is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in government affairs and policy advisory services for technology businesses in Turkey. As Managing Partner at Ussal Consultancy since August 2018, Ussal Sahbaz specializes in providing high-level access and political intelligence. In addition, Ussal Sahbaz serves as a curator, author, and speaker for Global İşler Media, leading the Global İşler+ e-mail bulletin with over 7,000 subscribers. Previously, Ussal Sahbaz held key positions including Innovation Leader Turkey at GE, where a unique business model for the Istanbul Innovation Center was established, and Director of the G20 Studies Center at TEPAV, which introduced Internet and innovation themes to the G20 agenda. Ussal Sahbaz’s career also includes roles at the President's Office of the Republic of Turkey, the International Finance Corporation, and the Turkish Competition Authority. Educational credentials include a Master of Public Administration from Harvard Kennedy School and advanced degrees in Economics from Bilkent University and Middle East Technical University.
