Tony Weeresinghe

Tony Weeresinghe has had an extensive career in the technology and finance industries. Tony began their career in 1988 as System Development Manager at Data Management Systems (Pvt) Ltd - Software Division. In 1991, they became Country Manager at Oracle, where they introduced Oracle to Sri Lanka and achieved 125% growth in one year. In 1994, they became CEO at Open Systems Sri Lanka, growing the division by 500% in one year. In 1996, they founded and became CEO of MillenniumIT, one of the world's leading application solution providers for the trading and service billing sectors. In 2010, they became Director of Global Business Development at the London Stock Exchange Group, where they rebuilt the trading platform and improved performance by a factor of 7000 times. In the same year, they co-founded The Cainan Foundation, a 501(c) (3) organization whose mission is to provide equal opportunity education to disadvantaged children across the world. In 2014, they became Chairman at My Payment Network. In 2015, they founded Ustocktrade LLC, the parent company of Ustocktrade, the world's first Alternative Trading System (ATS) designed exclusively for retail investors. In 2019, they became Chairman & CEO at MeetSID LLC.
