Paula Anthony

Paula Anthony has over 30 years of work experience in various roles within the healthcare and consulting industries. Paula started their career in 1983 as a Senior Associate at Amherst Associates/HBO & Company. In 1985, they joined Ernst & Young and spent 10 years working in their health care information technology consulting division. During their time at Ernst & Young, they managed the development and delivery of healthcare IT services in an eight-state region.

In 1995, Paula joined ETMC Regional Healthcare System as the Vice President and Chief Information Officer. Paula was responsible for all information systems and telecommunications services in a $2 billion integrated healthcare delivery system, managing a significant budget and serving over 10,000 end users.

In 2011, they became the President and CEO of HealthFirst TPA, a subsidiary of UT Health East Texas. As the head of this $20 million health benefits solutions company, Paula led its strategic and operational functions, serving over 50,000 member-lives across Texas. Paula held the position until 2018.

In 2017, Paula also served as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Texas at Tyler's Soules College of Business, teaching courses in the Executive Healthcare MBA program and the HRD doctoral program.

In 2018, following the sale of ETMC Regional Healthcare System, Paula formed their own consulting firm called Syndeti LLC. As the President of Syndeti, they provide business advisory services to the healthcare strategy, business development, and IT sectors. Paula'sexpertise includes strategic planning, information security, business intelligence, M&A planning, and more.

Paula also joined Huntzinger in 2018 as an Advisor, further expanding their consulting experience. With their extensive background and expertise, Paula Anthony has achieved success in various leadership roles throughout their career.

Paula Anthony holds a PhD in Organizational Development and Change from the University of Texas at Tyler. Paula also has an MBA from Case Western Reserve University's Weatherhead School of Management and a BA from Wesleyan University. Additionally, they are a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives, which they obtained in 2007.
