Bill Drees is an accomplished academic and administrative leader with extensive experience in health sciences education. Currently serving as an Assistant Professor in Emergency Health Sciences at UT Health San Antonio since 2007, Bill has been integral to business intelligence and data exploration for the San Antonio Fire Department since 2021. Prior roles include President of the Baptist Health System School of Health Professions, where Bill directed operations to address student and community workforce needs, and Dean of Health and Human Services at Lone Star College, overseeing multiple academic and workforce departments. Bill's earlier experience includes roles as a Director and Professor in EMS Professions and Assistant Professor/Clinical Coordinator at UTHSCSA. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Political Science from Texas A&M University, a Master of Arts in Adult and Higher Education from The University of Texas at San Antonio, and a Doctor of Education in Executive Leadership for the Community College from Sam Houston State University.
