Jay Richards

Jay Richards has a diverse work experience in instructional design and continuing education. Jay currently works as the Director of Continuing Medical Education at UT Health San Antonio, where they oversee all academic operations and functions for continuing education programs. Prior to this, Jay worked at WellMed Medical Management as a Manager of Provider Education, where they developed training courses for clinicians and improved staff productivity. Jay also served as a Senior Instructional Designer, delivering training programs and managing course content. Before that, Jay worked at MTS Technologies, Inc. as an Associate Manager and Senior Instructional Systems Designer, leading teams and overseeing multiple projects for various clients. Jay also held positions as an Instructional Systems Designer II at NCI Information Systems, Inc. and Karta Technologies. In earlier roles, Jay worked as an Instructional Designer at Webster University and Brigham Young University Hawaii, where they designed online courses and training programs.

Jay Richards holds a Master of Science degree in Instructional Technology, which they obtained from Utah State University in the period from 2001 to 2003. Prior to that, they pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Pacific Island Studies at Brigham Young University–Hawaii from 1995 to 1998. Additionally, Jay Richards has obtained certifications including a Training Certificate from the Association for Talent Development (ATD) and a Kirkpatrick Certified Professional - Bronze Level certification from Kirkpatrick Partners, LLC in 2022 and 2021 respectively.
