Mfonobong Okubadejo

Mfonobong Okubadejo, MD, MS has a diverse work experience, with roles in the medical field, non-profit organizations, and educational institutions. Currently, they hold several positions at UT Health San Antonio, including Director of Global Health in the Department of Anesthesiology, Assistant Clinical Professor of Anesthesiology & Pain Medicine, and Assistant Program Director of Medical Student Education. They also served as the Chief Executive Officer of the non-profit organization GLOBAL IMAGE FOUNDATION, INC., focusing on healthcare and education internationally. Prior to that, they completed a Pain Medicine Fellowship at UC Davis Health and worked as an Anesthesiology Resident Physician at UC Irvine Health. Additionally, they have experience as a Basic Life Support / Heartsaver Instructor for the American Heart Association, teaching CPR and life-saving skills. They also held administrative roles at Monef Health Services, Inc. and served as the Program Director for The Miami Children Foundation, Inc., organizing various health-related events and campaigns. Outside of the medical field, they were selected as Miss Africa USA 2007-2008 and worked as a Resident Assistant at Florida International University.

Mfonobong Okubadejo, MD, MS holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Sciences from Florida International University, which was obtained from 2001 to 2006. Later, from 2007 to 2009, they pursued a Master of Science degree in Biomedical Sciences at Barry University. Finally, from 2011 to 2016, they attended Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science, where they earned a Medical Doctor (M.D.) degree with a focus on Medicine.
