Ronald Stewart

Ronald Stewart has extensive experience in the medical field, serving at UTHSCSA since July 1993 in various roles, including Chair of the Department of Surgery and Professor of Surgery and Anesthesia. Ronald has progressed through ranks from Assistant Professor to Associate Professor. In 2014, Ronald held the position of Chair of the Committee on Trauma for the American College of Surgeons. Academic credentials include a Doctor of Medicine degree from UT Health San Antonio (1985), studies at Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health (2006), and a Bachelor of Science in Life Science from The University of Texas Permian Basin (1981), along with earlier education at Odessa College.
