Gary Garner MD, RPh., FAAHPM

Gary Garner MD, RPh., FAAHPM has extensive work experience in the field of palliative care and healthcare management. Gary is currently serving as the Palliative Care Director at Utah Cancer Specialists since January 2022. Prior to this, Gary worked as the Owner of Rocky Mountain Clinical from January 2009. In this role, they provided consultation services for preventive medicine, advanced disease management, and conducted drug studies.

From July 2012 to March 2022, Gary served as the Medical Director of Palliative Care/Hospice at Intermountain Healthcare. During this time, they contributed to the development and management of palliative care services.

Before joining Intermountain Healthcare, Gary was actively involved in pain and symptom management in oncology at Central Utah Clinic from 2009 to March 2022.

From January 2000 to June 2012, they served as the Area Medical Director at VistaCare, where they oversaw and directed medical operations.

Additionally, Gary worked as an MD in Moab, Utah for World Wide from 2003 to 2010 and as a medical consultant at Medspring from 2006 to 2008.

Gary Garner MD, RPh., FAAHPM completed their medical residency at the University of Colorado Denver. Gary spent three years as a medical resident, gaining valuable experience in the field. Prior to their residency, they obtained their MD from the University of Utah School of Medicine. Gary also holds a degree in Pharmacy from the University of Utah.
