Shannon Peterson

Shannon Peterson currently serves as the Director of Global Learning at USU College of Humanities and Social Sciences and holds the position of Associate Professor of Professional Practice in Political Science/International Relations at Utah State University. With extensive experience in higher education, Peterson has previously directed both the Institute of Government and Politics and Global Programming at Utah State University. Notably, Peterson co-founded the Huntsman Scholar Program and has fulfilled various roles within the Jon M. Huntsman School of Business. Educational credentials include a Ph.D. in International Relations from The Ohio State University, an A.B. Freeman School of Business post-doctorate in Marketing and Management from Tulane University, and dual degrees in Liberal Arts and Political Science from Utah State University. Early career experience includes roles as an Editor/Analyst at Samsung Securities and lecturer positions at The Ohio State University.
