Derek Runyon

Derek Runyon is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in engineering and business development. As Co-Founder and Head of Business Development at june since November 2024, Derek focuses on aiding mission-driven leaders by providing AI-enhanced executive support. Prior to this, Derek held various engineering roles, including Application/Design Engineer and CAD Designer II at UTEX Industries Inc., and Product Development Engineer at AAT Engineering Solutions, where responsibilities encompassed transforming client designs into manufacturing drawings and working prototypes. Notably, at VOSS Automotive, Derek implemented automation to reduce production costs, while achievements at Quest Aircraft Company included optimizing assembly line processes and contributing to significant production output increases. Derek's earlier career included impactful roles at Biomet, where contributions led to advancements in implant design, and various positions at Miller Consulting Group and Courier Printing. Educationally, Derek holds an Associate of Applied Sciences in Computer Drafting and Design from ITT Technical Institute.
