Alec Ambruso is an experienced producer and camera operator with a strong background in sports broadcasting and video production. Currently working at WCNY since October 2022, Alec has contributed to notable PBS programs and managed various production tasks, including studio setup and lighting. Alec's prior roles include camera operations for Utica City FC and Utica Comets, covering professional soccer and hockey games while capturing key moments and managing technical adjustments. Previous experience also includes an internship at WKTV NewsChannel 2, where skills in video editing, live show production, and story assembly were developed. Alec holds a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from the University at Albany and an Associate of Arts in Social Sciences & Humanities from Mohawk Valley Community College.
