Taylor Spalt is a Product Strategist at Utilidata. Prior to joining Utilidata, Spalt was a software engineer at Lockheed Martin, where they served as team lead on various algorithm and software development projects. Spalt's research has focused on improving microphone array spatial sound mapping using signal processing techniques. Taylor has also developed acoustic predictions via physics-based models for underwater vehicles. In 2014, Spalt received the NASA Group Achievement Award for their work on the Hybrid Wing Body Acoustic Test in NASA Langley's 14- by 22-Foot Subsonic Tunnel.

Taylor Spalt earned a Doctor of Philosophy in Mechanical Engineering from Virginia Tech, a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Virginia Tech, and a Bachelor of Science / Bachelor of Arts in Mechanical Engineering / Spanish Language and Literature from the University of Rhode Island.
