Richard Brys has a diverse work experience in the technology and energy sectors. Richard started their career at Powergen in 1999, working in finance. Richard then joined Logica in 2001 as a System Analyst, where they worked on IT projects in the energy sector. In 2002, they joined Energy One, initially as a Consultant for EU Market Entry and later became the Chief Operating Officer and Chief Executive Officer, leading the company's transformation into a trading and risk management vendor in the energy sector. In 2011, Brys co-founded Utilidex, serving as the CEO. Richard is passionate about developing technology products that can transform industries and enjoys working closely with customers to identify solutions. Brys has also held advisory and investment roles at New Change FX, Finreg-E, and Finwrks. In addition to their professional roles, they have mentored tech startups at Level39 and UCL. Overall, Brys brings extensive knowledge and experience in the energy and technology sectors, combining leadership, innovation, and a customer-focused approach.
Richard Brys completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Economics at Nottingham in England from 1996 to 1999. Following that, they pursued an MBA (Executive) degree with a concentration in Business Administration and Management, General at the AGSM @ UNSW Business School from 2007 to 2010.
