Ruan Heyns has a diverse work experience in software engineering and development. Ruan started their career as a Student Assistant at GEW Technologies in 2012 and continued in the same role in 2013. In 2015, Ruan interned at MWR InfoSecurity, where they gained knowledge in security modules and encryption. Later that year, they joined the University of Pretoria as a Senior Student Assistant, focusing on research and development in various fields, including Windows 10 deployment and hardening.

In 2017, Ruan worked as a Student Intern at Gendac Software Engineering, where they conducted research on single-board computers and implemented OS-specific features using Xamarin. The following year, they became a Contractor - Full Stack Developer at RolfesAgri Pty Ltd, responsible for developing and maintaining an ASP.NET MVC WebApp for farmers and researchers to log trial results.

From 2019 to 2020, Ruan worked as a Full Stack Developer on a contract basis for MyHomeWrxs, where they designed and implemented a property finding solution using MySQL DB and Entity Framework .NET Core 3 MVC stack. In 2019, they also began their tenure at GoodX Software as a Software Engineer, focusing on software development.

Ruan's most recent position is with Blue Bean Software, where they worked as a Software Engineer from August 2021 to February 2022. Currently, they hold the role of Software Engineer at Utilifeed, starting from March 2022. Overall, Ruan Heyns has a strong background in software engineering and development, with experience in various industries and technologies.

Ruan Heyns holds a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) in Computer Engineering from the University of Pretoria/Universiteit van Pretoria, which they completed from 2013 to 2017. In terms of additional certifications, they have obtained a basic knowledge in Angular from HackerRank in May 2021.
