David del Val

David del Val is a Global Director at Telefónica, leading the Open Gateway initiative to make telco networks programmable. They have extensive experience in entrepreneurship and innovation management, co-founding nine technology startups, including a company that was sold to Microsoft. David also held senior roles at Telefónica I+D, where they incubated new businesses, and at Microsoft, managing the Windows Media networking engineering team. Additionally, David serves on the boards of Pangea and Utiq and has a rich educational background, including a Master of Science from Stanford University.
