SVOLT developed from the Battery Unit of Great Wall Motors which is a leader in the Chinese automotive industry. SVOLT has carried out pre-research on battery since 2012. In 2018, SVOLT completely separated from GWM and developed independently, and officially changed its name to SVOLT Energy Technology Co., Ltd. SVOLT is headquartered in Jintan District, Changzhou, Jiangsu province in China.
