Paul Thompson

Paul Thompson serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Utmost Group since May 2013. With extensive experience in the financial services industry, Paul held the position of Treasurer at The Fairtrade Foundation from August 2014 until December 2021 and was a Partner at Pamplona Capital Management from January 2008 to May 2013, focusing on European financial services and UK general investments. Previous roles include CEO at Resolution Life (December 2002 - March 2007) and Managing Director in Investment Banking at Merrill Lynch (January 1997 - December 2002). Paul began their career in investment banking at BZW (Barclays de Zoete Wedd) and Dresdner Kleinwort, and worked as a Chartered Accountant at Coopers & Lybrand. Paul Thompson earned an MA in Veterinary Medicine from the University of Cambridge between 1981 and 1984.
