Dr. Camille Neely has a diverse work experience in the fields of education and healthcare. Dr. Camille began their career as a Childcare Provider at Kiddin Around Childcare Center in 1984 and worked there until 1991. Dr. Camille then joined Atlanta Public Schools as an Educator from 1991 to 2012. In 2009, they became a member of the Board of Directors at Atlanta Association of Educators, serving until 2012. In 2014, they worked as an Epic Super User at WellStar Health System from February to May. Dr. Neely also served as an Adjunct Instructor and Lead Faculty of the Education Department at Brown Mackie College- Atlanta from 2014 to 2017. Dr. Camille then joined DeKalb Preparatory Academy, Inc. as a Teacher from April 2018 to June 2020. Currently, they hold the role of Founding Lead Kindergarten Teacher at Utopian Academy for the Arts, starting from August 2020.
Dr. Camille Neely holds a Doctor of Education (EdD) degree in Educational Leadership and Administration from Saint Leo University, which they obtained from 2018 to 2023. Before that, they completed a Master's degree in Instructional Design from Saint Leo University from 2014 to 2016. Dr. Camille'seducational background also includes an Educational Specialist degree in Educational Leadership from Walden University (2005-2008), a Masters degree in Elementary Education from Troy University (1995-1997), and a Bachelors of Arts degree in Early Childhood Education from Clark Atlanta University (1985-1990). Through a structured and supportive environment, Utopian Academy for the Arts (UAFA) will develop the academic and artistic talents of students, and prepare them to enter and succeed in the global society with proficiency to enroll in the college, university, or specialty school of their choice. UAFA shall be a community school; nurturing academic excellence for all students and demonstrating leadership in character development. The vision statement is intended to serve as both the blueprint for improvement and the benchmark by which we will evaluate our progress.
