Isabel Arends

Isabel Arends is currently the Dean of the Faculty of Science at Utrecht University, where Isabel has been since July 2018. Isabel is also a member of various prestigious organizations such as Koninklijke Hollandsche Maatschappij der Wetenschappen and KNAW. Isabel previously held the position of Chair of the Department of Biotechnology at TU Delft for over two decades. Isabel's expertise lies in Biocatalysis and Organic Chemistry, with a focus on green processes and sustainable technology. Throughout their career, Isabel has been involved in various research projects and has a strong background in chemistry and bioconversion technology.
