Fedde Benedictus

Fedde Benedictus is a Lecturer in Theoretical Philosophy and Managing Editor of Foundations of Physics at Utrecht University, with a focus on the relationship between probability theory and a priori epistemology. The ongoing dissertation analyzes the historical context of this relationship, from Plato and Aristotle through Kant and Hume. In addition to lecturing on various philosophical topics including the Foundations of Space-Time Theories, Fedde has been involved in research on the spread of religion in the Ancient World, aiming to develop a quantitative approach to the expansion of Christianity in the Roman Empire. Experience includes multiple teaching roles at Amsterdam University College, covering subjects such as calculus, mathematics, academic writing, electricity, and magnetism, as well as positions at the University of Amsterdam. Fedde holds an MSc in Philosophy and Foundations of Physics and a Doctor of Philosophy from Utrecht University.
