Frank Heere

Frank Heere is an experienced professional in research impact and innovation management, currently serving as the Department Manager of Research and Data Management Services at Utrecht University since April 2020. With a focus on advancing digital technologies and fostering collaboration across multiple university faculties, Frank leads a team of over 30 professionals to enhance research outcomes and promote open science. Prior to this, positions included Innovation Manager at Movements Group, where IT technology development was prioritized, and IT Development Manager at SURFsara, supporting academic researchers in the Netherlands with large-scale computing and data processing. Frank's earlier roles included managing IP portfolios at TNO and regional product management in East Asia for ASM, along with a strong background in applied optics from TU Delft. Educational credentials include an MSc in Applied Physics from Delft University of Technology and a Certificate in Business Model Innovation from Rotterdam School of Management.
