Marieke de Bakker

Marieke de Bakker serves as the Director of Student & Educational Affairs at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam since April 2024. Prior to this role, Marieke de Bakker has held several significant positions at Utrecht University, including Deputy Director of Student & Academic Affairs and Head of Student Services. Responsibilities included managing multiple teams to enhance student experience and success, along with leadership roles in student counseling and academic policy advisory. Marieke de Bakker also contributed to the national network for student welfare and promoted educational collaboration between France and the Netherlands. Marieke de Bakker holds a Master's degree in History of International Relations, French language and culture from Utrecht University.
