Roos Masereeuw

Vice-dean Of Research at Utrecht University

Roos Masereeuw is currently the Vice-dean of Research at Utrecht University since February 2023 and has served as a Professor of Experimental Pharmacology and Scientific Director at the Utrecht Institute for Pharmaceutical Sciences since June 2015. Prior experience includes an Associate Professor of Pharmacology and Toxicology at Radboud University Medical Center from July 2002 to June 2015, and an Assistant Professor at Radboud University Nijmegen from January 1996 to July 2002. Additionally, Roos Masereeuw worked as an Assessor of Human Clinical Pharmacokinetics for the Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport from February 1997 to January 2000. Educational qualifications include a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Medical Sciences with a focus on Pharmacology from Radboud University and a Master of Science (MSc) in Bio-pharmaceutical Sciences, also in Pharmacology, from Leiden University. Research interests revolve around Regenerative Nephropharmacology, aiming to develop therapeutic strategies for accelerating kidney function recovery and understanding renal processes for developing interventions in end-stage renal disease.
