Humberto "Beto" Torres, Jr. serves as the Assistant Principal at Uvalde CISD High School since January 2016 and is a certified Associate Instructor for the Crisis Prevention Institute, promoting best practices in Nonviolent Crisis Intervention training. With previous roles including Assistant Principal at Junior High and Technology Instructional Coach, Torres focuses on integrating educational technology with traditional teaching methods. As PBIS Chair and a former Kindergarten Teacher, responsibilities included fostering holistic student development. Torres also gained administrative experience as a Principal Summer Intern coordinating a creative summer school program. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Educational Leadership from The University of Texas at San Antonio, a Master's degree in Administration/Principalship from Sul Ross State University, a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Brigham Young University, and an Associate of Arts degree from Southwest Texas Junior College.
