Pedro Garbes

Pedro Garbes, MD, MSc, is the Vice President, Global Medical Lead at Uvax Bio. Previously, Pedro held senior positions at Gritstone Bio, AstraZeneca, Takeda, and Sanofi Pasteur, where Pedro played key roles in clinical development, medical affairs, and global strategy. With a background in medicine and infectious diseases, Pedro has extensive experience in leading clinical research, vaccine development, and scientific engagement. Pedro has also been involved in academic roles, such as being a professor at Santa Casa de Misericórdia de São Paulo and Universidade Federal Fluminense. Pedro holds post-graduate degrees in clinical vaccine development, biomanufacturing, and vaccinology.
