Matt Dorchuck

Matt Dorchuck has a diverse work experience in the financial industry. Matt started their career as an Analyst at Jackson and Associates in 2011, where they developed statistical models to predict NPVs for residential loans in foreclosure. From 2014 to 2015, they worked as an Investment Analyst at the South Carolina Retirement System Investment Commission, focusing on risk management and asset allocation.

In 2016, Matt joined the University of Virginia Investment Management Company (UVIMCO) as an Associate, and later became a Senior Associate in 2018. Matt went on to serve as a Director from 2020 to 2023 and is currently a Managing Director at UVIMCO.

Throughout their career, Matt has gained expertise in asset allocation, risk management, and implementing hedging overlay trades to reduce portfolio risk. Matt has also contributed to research and committee discussions for strategic and tactical asset allocation. Their work at Jackson and Associates helped improve case targeting for settlement, reducing costs for RMBS investors and servicers.

Matt Dorchuck received their Bachelor's Degree in International Business and Finance from the University of South Carolina in the years 2010 to 2014. In June 2017, they obtained a certification from the CFA Institute by passing the CFA Level III Examination.
