Maren Walz

Maren Walz currently serves as the Chief Communications Officer and Executive Director for University Marketing & Communications at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse, leading the Web & Interactive Communications unit and managing campus communication efforts since January 2011. Walz has previously held positions as a Technical Writer at GEA Farm Technologies and in Instructional Design/Web Content at Ashley Furniture. An accomplished professional, Walz received the 2015 Academic Staff Excellence Award and has a Bachelor of Arts in Education, Psychology, and Sociology from Luther College and a Master of Science in Strategic Communication from Purdue University.
