J. Francisco Morales serves as the Curator and Senior Lecturer at the National Herbarium of Trinidad & Tobago, University of the West Indies, since September 2021. With extensive experience in systematic botany, J. Francisco Morales has been affiliated with the University of Bayreuth since 2013 and held various academic and research positions in institutions such as GDP, Missouri Botanical Garden, Universidad Estatal a Distancia de Costa Rica, Universidad Técnica Nacional, and Organization for Tropical Studies. Notably, J. Francisco Morales has contributed to the Manual of Plants of Costa Rica and has an extensive background in environmental management and botanical education. J. Francisco Morales holds a PhD in Systematic Botany and molecular biology from the University of Bayreuth and has published over 200 scientific articles. Educational qualifications also include a master's degree in Environmental Management and a bachelor's degree in Forest Engineering.
