Patrick Hosein

Patrick Hosein is a distinguished academic and industry leader with extensive experience in electrical engineering, computer science, and data science. As a Professor at The University of the West Indies since January 2012, Patrick has focused on research, teaching, and consulting in these fields, having previously served as a Senior Lecturer. Patrick also holds the position of CEO at the Trinidad and Tobago Network Information Centre (TTNIC), overseeing domain name registrations. Prior roles include senior engineering positions at AT&T, Huawei, Ericsson, and AT&T Labs, where expertise was applied in wireless network performance, resource management algorithms, and telecommunications systems. Patrick's educational background includes multiple degrees from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, culminating in a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science.
