Zaria Chen Shui

Zaria Chen Shui is an accomplished software engineering professional currently serving as a Research Assistant at The University of the West Indies since April 2025 and as the Head Teaching Assistant at JamCoders, teaching high school students programming and algorithms. Previous experience includes roles as a Software Engineer at ADVANTUM, developing software for Caribbean ports, and as a Software Engineer Intern at Norus Technologies, where full stack development was performed for nonprofits. Additional roles include Adjunct Lab Assistant at The University of the West Indies and Project Coordinator for Jamaicans For Justice, where Zaria organized legal awareness workshops. Early career highlights include positions as an Editor and Writing Tutor at the University of Prince Edward Island and a Promotions Agent at the National Health Fund. Zaria holds a Bachelor of Science in Software Engineering from The University of the West Indies, Mona, attained in July 2024.
