Frank Guo, Ph.D. has over 17 years of work experience in user experience, user research, and web marketing research. In 2021, they joined Google as a Staff User Experience Researcher. Prior to this, from 2011 to 2021, they were the Founder and Principal of UX Strategized LLC. From 2010 to 2011, they were the User Research Lead at BlackRock, where they oversaw global user research and managed all digital user research programs and vendors for BlackRock's iShares business. From 2008 to 2010, they were the Manager, Web Research at Barclays Global Investors, where they set up and led user research practice, managing all of the firm’s digital research programs and vendors, and established foundational digital client insights and client-experience benchmarking for the firm. From 2006 to 2008, they were the Senior User Researcher at eBay Inc., where they led online advertising and merchandising research, led design guidelines research, led user research for web tools for eBay selling and shipping, established eye tracking research at eBay, and provided consulting around conducting A/B test or experiments for product managers. From 2004 to 2006, they were the Web Market Researcher at Oracle Corp.
Frank Guo, Ph.D. received their Bachelor of Arts degree from Shenzhen University in 1996. Frank then pursued their doctoral degree in Psychology at the University of California, Los Angeles, which they completed in 2005.
