Bas Bruneel

Bas Bruneel is an experienced anesthesiologist currently working at UZ Gent since April 2018, also serving as a Clinical Fellow at Sydney Clinical Skills & Simulation Centre since August 2019. Bas has held multiple roles in anesthesiology, including ASO Anesthesie-Reanimatie at UZ Gent and AZ Sint-Lucas Gent from 2014 to 2018. Significant involvement in academic governance includes tenure as a member of the Faculty Board of Medicine and Health Sciences and as a member of the Board of Governors at Ghent University, where Bas also represented the student delegation. Educationally, Bas Bruneel earned a Master's Degree in Anesthesiology Residency Program and a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) from Ghent University, following a Bachelor of Science in Medicine. Leadership experience includes serving as Chairman of the Student Council on Medical Education (SCOME) and SWOP-Praeses.
