Nicolas Kint

Hematologist at UZ Gent

Nicolas Kint is a highly qualified medical professional specializing in hematology, currently serving as a Visiting Fellow at CHU de Nantes since November 2023 and as a Hematologist at UZ Gent since January 2023. Nicolas has previously worked as a Hematologist at UZ Brussel from October 2021 to December 2022 and completed residency training in Internal Medicine and Hematology at UZ Leuven from August 2015 to July 2021. Nicolas holds a PhD in Biomedical Sciences from KU Leuven, where a doctoral degree was obtained between 2015 and 2019, and has also earned a Master of Specialized Medicine from the same institution in July 2021. Early training included medical clerkships and residency positions at various medical institutions, accompanied by foundational education earned at KU Leuven and O.-L.-Vrouwlyceum Genk. A medical intervention team with a doctor and a nurse from the emergency unit is put into action to offer assistance in life-threatening situations. As a university centre, the hospital offers a wide range of care: not only basic, but also highly specialized hospital care. Every medical specialty for normal and intensive care is represented.
