Charlien Berghen

Charlien Berghen is an Assistant Professor at Katholieke Universiteit Leuven in the Department of Oncology since October 2022. Berghen has been a Radiation Oncologist at UZ Leuven since August 2015, previously serving as a Resident in Radiation Oncology. Experience includes a role as a Junior Representative at BeSTRO from February 2019 to December 2021 and as a PhD Student at KU Leuven from August 2017 to July 2021, focusing on clinical research in URO-oncology, particularly in locally advanced and oligometastatic prostate cancer. Earlier training includes a Residency in Radiation Oncology at Cliniques de l'Europe from August 2014 to July 2015. Educational qualifications comprise a Master's degree in the Radiation Oncology Residency Program, a Master's degree in Management in Health Care and Policy, and a Master's degree in Medicine, all obtained from KU Leuven between 2007 and 2021.
