Heleen Gijs

Heleen Gijs has extensive experience in human resources and recruitment, currently serving as a project coordinator for the recruitment of foreign nurses and as a staff member for selection and recruitment at UZ Leuven since April 2022. In November 2023, Heleen transitioned to HGI OrganizeHR as an HR consultant, providing advice and coaching on various HR matters. Previously, from 2003 to April 2022, Heleen worked at Fedasil, initially as an HR employee in Brussels and later as the HR manager at the OOC in Steenokkerzeel, where responsibilities included the organization and implementation of HR policies. Heleen holds a Master’s degree in social work and policy from KU Leuven (2017-2022) and a Bachelor’s degree in social assistance and social advising from Katholieke Hogeschool Leuven (1999-2002).
