Lori van Roozendaal

Lori van Roozendaal is a thoracic surgeon currently employed at UZ Leuven since May 2025, following a role as a fellow in thoracic surgery at Zuyderland from October 2024 to May 2025 and at UZ Leuven from September 2023 to August 2024. Prior to these positions, Lori gained experience in thoracic and oncological surgery at Zuyderland from October 2021 to August 2023 and worked as an AIOS in surgery at Maastricht UMC+ and Zuyderland Medisch Centrum from June 2019 to June 2019 and January 2017 to June 2019, respectively. Early career experience includes a position as an ANIOS in surgery at Atrium Medisch Centrum from March 2015 to December 2016 and work as a PhD candidate and study coordinator in the department of surgery at Maastricht University Medical Center from August 2011 to February 2015, where the research focused on axillary treatment in breast cancer patients. Additional experience includes an internship and clinical research in gastroenterology and oncology, along with part-time home nursing for fragile elderly through Groenekruis Domicura in 2011. Lori van Roozendaal holds a Master of Science in Medicine from Maastricht University, obtained in 2012.
